Discovery Channel – The Making of Riyadh Season – Documentary Narrator

Riyadh Season is one of 11 seasons which form part of Saudi Seasons – an initiative launched in 2019 by The Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage. Saudi Seasons aims to promote Saudi Arabia as a tourism hub, celebrate entertainment, cultural  and heritage, as well as enhance the quality of life for the people of the kingdom. Riyadh season began on 11 October 2019 and was scheduled to conclude on 15 December 2019. However, the popularity of the festival saw over 7.5 million visitors in one month alone, so it was extended to late January 2020. This epic season took the word “imagine” as it’s slogan and inspiration. It had 12 different entertainment areas featuring over 100 lavish events and more than 3000 activities.

“The Making of Riyadh Season” is a Discovery Channel Documentary that explores the giant scope of the festival project and looks at how various elements came together in a short space of time – including bringing the London Winter Wonderland to Saudi Arabia!  I was delighted to record the narration for the 6-part Documentary, working over a two month period from the start of December 2019. The audio was self-recorded in my personal studio using the Lewitt LCT540s microphone for a detailed rich intimate sound. EQ/Compression was added and the files were delivered directly to the editing team at Discovery. The documentary is showing on Discovery HD in the Middle East/South Africa. The 6 episodes will be added to this page as they become available.
