Nokia Ozo | Documentary Voiceover
A documentary voiceover “Birth of OZO” for Nokia Technologies describing the creation of “OZO” – the first commercially available virtual reality (VR) camera designed and built for professional content creators. Conceived at the company’s R&D facilities in Tampere, Finland – OZO captures stereoscopic 3D video through 8 synchronized global shutter sensors and spatial audio through 8 integrated microphones. Software built for OZO enables real-time 3D viewing, with an innovative playback solution that removes the need to pre-assemble a panoramic image.
This voice-over was around 3 minutes long and the brief required me to use the lower part of my speech register to create a sense of authority/drama, befitting a ground-breaking technological innovation. The audio was recorded at London in the excellent Mews Production Studios and delivered directly to the client. A “dry” 100 second audio sample is opposite with the video as published by NOKIA on their website in early 2016.
