Shift2Rail | Industrial Film Voiceover
Having previously recorded Railway technology voiceovers for Invensys Rail and Siemens Rail, I was delighted to be asked by Deutsche Bahn / Shift2Rail to provide the British voice for this industrial film about “Lean Tamping” within the IN2SMART project.
Shift2Rail is a European initiative with the aim of strengthening the European railway sector and it comprises many projects, one of which is IN2SMART – which stands for “Intelligent Innovative Smart Maintenance of Assets by integRated Technologies”.
The client was looking for a classic, neutral British Voiceover with a trustworthy, authoritative tone to clearly explain the scope and details of the project. I was happy to help and, once again, my engineering background was uesful for grasping the technical content and putting it across in a believable way.
The video was shown at InnoTrans, the largest rail trade fair, which took place in Berlin from 18-21 September 2018.
